§ 2-109. Fee for copies of public records.

  • Whenever any member of the public requests that the town prepare and furnish to such person a photographic reproduction of any books, pamphlets, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, documents, writings, letters, memoranda, maps, field notes or other printed, written, typed, copied or developed material comprising the public records of the town or any portion thereof, the charge for a non-certified reproduction shall be as established by the town. Said charge is to be made payable to the town; such request shall be made to the town secretary. The charge shall be paid at the time the request for reproductions is made. The town secretary is hereby directed to keep a log, which log shall include the name of the person requesting the reproduction, the date of the request, the number of the ordinance requested or other brief description of the subject matter requested, the number of copies, and the charge collected. Said log shall be retained as a part of the permanent records of the town.
