§ 2-2. Smoking in town hall.

  • (a)

    The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Smoke or smoking means the possession, carrying, or holding of a lighted pipe, cigar, or cigarette of any kind, or any other lighted smoking equipment or device, or the lighting of, emitting or exhaling the smoke of, a pipe, cigar, or cigarette of any kind.

    (b)

    Smoking is hereby prohibited in the town hall, located at 814 N. Lamar, Quintana, Texas, except in smoking areas designated as provided in this section.

    (c)

    The designated smoking areas for town hall are located outside town hall in an approved place.

    (d)

    The mayor shall cause signs to be posted at each entrance to town hall, and at the smoking area designated herein, in order to advise the public of the areas where smoking is prohibited or allowed under this section.

    (e)

    Any violation of this section by a city employee shall be grounds for discipline under the town personnel policy, as amended from time to time.
